Breast Ptosis Correction (Mastopexy) With No Breast Implants

If you are looking for perkier, more aesthetically pleasing breasts, a mastopexy may be your answer.

A mastopexy is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to lift and re-contour your breast. The result is firmer, more youthful looking breasts.

Breast lift surgery will not significantly change the size of your breasts, nor will it round out the upper portion of your breast. If you want your breasts to look fuller or smaller, you should consider breast augmentation or breast reduction surgery.

A woman's breasts are prone to change with time. You may notice drooping and a loss in firmness as you age. Some of these changes and loss of skin elasticity can be caused by:

  • Weight fluctuations
  • Aging
  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Gravity
  • Genetics

The incisions are made at the areola (pigmented skin). Once they heal, the scars are barely - if at all - noticeable. While some people experience pain following the procedure, the discomfort is usually not severe and can be controlled by medication.

Mastopexy candidates should be mentally and emotionally stable with realistic surgical expectations and in good physical health.
