What is Botox Cosmetic?

Botox Cosmetic Type A is a safe injectable aesthetic treatment. Botox has been used therapeutically for over 17 years to treat medical conditions and is approved in more than 75 countries. It was approved in 2002 by the FDA as Botox Cosmetic. It is a purified protein that temporarily improves the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles in certain areas of the face. Botox is the most popular physician/nurse-administered cosmetic procedure in the United States. It is a quick, simple procedure with no downtime. There is minimal brief discomfort. The results appear in 2-3 days and last 3-5 months.

Satisfaction with your treatment/results depends on the knowledge of the muscle structures and the knowledge of the use of individual muscles by the injector. Your facial structure and muscle movement will be studied by our nurse and the treatment individually tailored for you. Thena Holmen, R.N. has been trained and uses advanced techniques to achieve ideal results. She instructs nurses and physicians and is a certified Allergan trainer.
