Mole Removal

Almost everyone has a mole or two, even if they’re not on the face, arms, neck, or other highly visible areas of the body. While almost all moles are harmless and don’t pose a health risk (the exception is a melanoma) they can still be very bothersome for some people who want to cultivate a certain appearance.

Whether you want to improve your facial complexion, or simply don’t like where a mole is on your body, Dr. Randall B. Weil and the team here at Randall B. Weil MD, FACS in San Francisco, California, has the knowledge and expertise to safely and discreetly take care of your moles.

What’s a mole?

Moles are a cluster of skin cells that grew in a clump, instead of spreading out and growing flat, like the rest of your skin. Often, they’ll darken after exposure to sunlight.

How are they removed?

The removal process differs from case to case. The mole’s location, size, and the number of moles that need removing have to be taken into account before the best surgical procedure can be chosen. The good news is that the recovery period for mole removal procedures is incredibly quick, and it’s an outpatient procedure.
