Depending on your needs, there’s a plastic surgery option for nearly every part of your appearance you may wish – or need – to change. One of the lesser-known procedures is ear pinning, and we’ll examine what that is and why you may need it.
What is it?
Ear pinning – or otoplasty, as it’s technically known – is a procedure used to fix the appearance of your ears. Whether they stick out too far, aren’t positioned correctly on your head, or even if you were born with some minor cartilage defects, ear pinning will correct all of these issues. Doing so brings some balance to your appearance, in addition to helping you become more confident in your overall appearance.
How long does it take?
As with any surgery, recovery time isn’t an exact science but usually, most patients are back to work within a week of the procedure being performed. The procedure is done on an outpatient basis, and you’ll only need to spend a few hours in our office at Randall B. Weil MD, FACS in San Francisco, California, before being able to go home.
If you’re ready to make a change to your appearance for the better and think ear pinning could be the answer, call us today. After a consultation with Dr. Randall B. Weil you’ll have a much better idea of what to expect and exactly how much your appearance will change.
