Areola Reduction in San Francisco
Precision Procedures from a Highly Experienced Surgeon
Feeling self-conscious about your breasts, and your areolae in particular, can have a significant effect on your self-esteem and make you uncomfortable in intimate situations, even going so far as to avoid them entirely. Though there is generally nothing medically wrong with having large areolae, there is no reason that you should have to live with something that makes you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable! With help from our highly trained San Francisco plastic surgeon, you can reduce your areolae to a more aesthetically pleasing size with which you are comfortable.
Randall B. Weil M.D. F.A.C.S. has much to offer his patients, including:
- Over 30 years of experience
- Time spent as a former Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center of San Francisco
- Multilingual services provided, including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese
- 24/7 Patient support
How Big is Too Big?
The areola reduction surgery in particular is a very subjective one. How big is too big, or how small is too small, is generally entirely in the eye of the beholder. During your consultation, you will talk to your surgeon and together determine the size that you find most appealing. If you are scheduled to get a breast augmentation, or have recently gotten one, we generally recommend that you wait until after the augmentation has healed and the breasts have fully settled, so that the areolae can be sized and placed according to the weight and shape of your new breasts.
